The SQPTO
The Société québécoise de psychologie du travail et des organisations (SQPTO) is a professional society founded in 1980. From the beginning, it has brought together practitioners and researchers interested in the broad field of occupational and organizational psychology. The society is managed by a Board of Directors, an executive board, four regional sections (administered by executives made up of volunteer members), representatives of the areas of practice, Executive management and support.
 
Our members work, study or actively participate in the development of six areas of practice.

MISSION
 
The Société québécoise de psychologie du travail et des organisations works for the advancement of occupational and organizational psychology as well as for those who practice in this area, including: creation and support of regional activities, management of the different areas of practice of its members, and promotion of shared values.

The Société is committed to pursuing the following objectives:

  1. Facilitate the growth and development of occupational and organizational psychology in Quebec and ensure its promotion among organizations, policy makers, governments and the general public.
  2. Promote competence, excellence of practice and professional versatility in occupational and organizational psychology, through research and high standards with regard to the ethics, education and professional success of members.
  3. Define the skills required for the practice of occupational and organizational psychology
